Shipping & Returns
Free ground shipping on orders over $99 that ship within the contiguous United States. Free shipping applies to most small and medium sized items. Free shipping is non-applicable on discounted products or final sale items. Free shipping does not apply to larger or heavy items that may require a freight carrier. Items shipped freight carrier are delivered to curbside or driveway only and may incur an over-sized item surcharge. We will notify you by email of any additional cost before your order is processed and a product is shipped via freight.
Orders under $99 will be charged a $20.00 flat rate.
Most of the products available on our website have the factory’s current stock availability listed which can help you determine any potential delivery delays. Please note that all shipping times quoted are estimates only and delivery times may exceed the times listed. In most cases in-stock products ship out within 3-5 business days but can take longer for final delivery. Orders typically take 1 to 3 weeks for delivery. We will make every attempt to use the quickest shipping method available but we cannot guarantee when an order will arrive.
Items ordered together are not necessarily shipped simultaneously. If an item is back-ordered, we will notify you by telephone or e-mail with an estimated delivery date.
If you wish to cancel an order for merchandise that hasn’t yet shipped from the manufacturer or our warehouse please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or (515) 276-5088. Products that have already shipped from the manufacturer or our warehouse may not be cancelled.
If your order was successfully cancelled we will notify you via email of your accepted cancellation request.
Please note that any refusal of an order delivery may result in a restocking fee up to 30% plus all applicable shipping charges.
Damaged or Defective Product
If your item has been damaged in shipment we will repair or replace that item at no cost to you. Please contact our customer service department by telephone or email within 48 hours to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Items without an RMA number will be returned to the customer and will not be processed. Reasonable shipping charges will be refunded upon inspection and only when damage is deemed to be freight-related damage. A repaired or replaced item will be shipped as soon as possible, with no additional charges.
If your product is defective due to defects in manufacturing and/or workmanship we will accept the return 30 days from the date of receipt. Fulfillment mistakes that we make resulting in the shipment of incorrect product to you will also be accepted for return 30 days from the date of receipt.
Spectrum Lighting is not responsible for any labor costs, which occur as the result of the installation of wrong or defective parts.
While the manufacturers do their best to ensure excellent packaging, occasionally glass gets damaged in transit at the hands of a delivery carrier. Items received with broken glass are not considered defective products. Spectrum Lighting and the manufacturer reserve the right to replace the glass as quickly as possible. In these cases, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt to request replacement glass to be sent to you at no additional cost.
Spectrum Lighting will honor all available manufacturer warranties still in effect covering manufacturer defects. We will repair or replace the defective item (except light bulbs) for one year from the date of purchase. Please contact our customer service department by telephone or e-mail for an RMA number. Items without an RMA number will be returned to the customer and will not be processed. Reasonable shipping charges will be refunded upon inspection and only when damage is deemed to be a factory defect. A repaired or replaced item will be shipped as soon as possible with no additional charges. We recommend hiring a qualified electrician to install your lighting fixtures and fans. Spectrum Lighting is not responsible for any damage or defects due to faulty installation.
We have taken great care to present all colors as true to actual color as possible. However, computer monitors and mobile device screens vary and we cannot guarantee that the color you see accurately portrays the true color of any item.
We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information on our website. However, pricing errors may occur. We will correct any errors as soon as we discover them. Spectrum Lighting reserves the right to not sell or ship any merchandise until an accurate price has been determined.
All return requests must be requested within 30 days of your purchase (shipped date). Products must be returned never installed, and in the original packaging. Return shipping is not included and is the customer’s responsibility. Refunds are made once the returned product is inspected to ensure the product is complete, undamaged, in the original packaging, and was not installed or modified. A restocking fee up to 30% will be charged on all returned merchandise, unless 0.defective. Your original shipping and processing charges will not be refunded, if applicable.

We will then e-mail you return instructions and a Return Goods Authorization form which must be inserted into the package prior to shipping. Items must then be return to us within 30 days of receipt with the valid and completed RGA form. Packages returned without a valid RGA form will not be processed. Shipping charges for the return shipment are the responsibility of the customer.
Follow the simple directions below to make your return by mail:
Contact our returns department by telephone to process your return and receive an RGA (return goods authorization) number. Once you have set up your return by phone you will be e-mailed an RGA number within 5 business days. Along with this return number, you will receive a ship-to address where you must send your merchandise. Be sure to include your RGA number with your merchandise on the shipping label. This number will be used to guarantee you receive your credit.
If you return a product to us without an RGA number, your return could be subject to additional restocking fees or your refund refused. Include all original packing materials, manuals, and accessories with the product to avoid additional fees. It is recommended to return products in an outer protective box to ensure the protection of original packaging materials.
We recommend items be returned via UPS, FedEx or insured parcel post for proof of delivery and tracking. Please be certain that items are secure in their packaging so damage does not occur while they are in transit back.
You are responsible for all freight charges. You will be credited reasonable and customary freight charges relevant to that item if the product is defective or the wrong item was shipped. Items received past the return period plus reasonable shipping time will not be processed. Notification will be sent to the e-mail and/or billing address provided should your return not be accepted. Items will be returned to you upon receipt of your payment of freight charges. Items will be deemed abandoned if we are not contacted within 30 days.
